JCM Part No . 960 - 000044R _ Rev . 2 © 2007, JCM American, Corporation 1 2 Soft Count Staff ICB Cash Box Operations Intelligent Cash Box (ICB) System Soft Count   The Cash Box memory is cleared when the ticket begins to print . If an error like “out of paper” or “paper jam” occurs that keeps a ticket from being printed after the download for example, the Cash Box information can still be retrieved because the information is temporarily stored in the Docking Station Memory . In this case, correct the printing error, then momentarily lift the Cash Box off the Docking Station .   Replace the Cash Box onto the Docking Station, and the stored information for that Cash Box will be printed . Once a new Cash Box is placed on the Docking Station, the previous information will be deleted . Typical sample ticket styles are illustrated in Figure 41 . 11 Soft Count Staff ICB Cash Box Operations S OFT C OUNT To read Cash Box information, perform the follow - ing steps: 1 . Place a Cash Box on the Docking Station and wait for the display to change from “Reading” to "Printing Ticket” . 2 . The printer will then create a Barcode Ticket to identify the machine’s number to the Count Sort Machine Scanner . Depending on the type of Count Sort equip - ment used, several printer options are available for use (See Table 1) . 3 . Remove the Cash Box once the ticket is printed . To allow the Count Machine to Sort Cash From Tickets:   When a stack of notes and tickets are placed on the Count Machine, most modern Count Machines will automatically kick out the Barcode Tickets . These tickets will be sent with the paperwork to accounting when a soft count is completed .
